Atlanta Steeplechase 2015

Almost 20 years had come and gone since I last had been to The Atlanta Steeplechase.  So much has changed in that time: where I live and who I live with. Twenty years ago I was single and living in Atlanta and now? Now I am living in Canada with a husband, two kids and Golden Retriever.  No longer is it as simple as marking a weekend in the calendar for the big event and driving up the road but rather planning out flights, school absences (all in the name of cultural experience), days off of work, and doggie pet sitting.  Things have changed in 20 years. But I would say, based on the day in Rome at Steeplechase, it’s changed for the better.

Time to book for next year I think!

THE JUDGE FOR THE INFIELD HAT CONTEST AND MY FAVOURITE SCHOOLMATE FROM WESLEYAN DAY SCHOOL BACK IN THE MID-80s … the INCOMPARABLE HEATHER, HOSTESS EXTRAORDINAIRE AND QUEEN OF ALL THINGS HAT.

WATCHING ONE OF THE BIG RACES
TERRIER RACE STANDINGS
KIDS LOVE THE HAT CONTEST ALMOST (almost) MORE THAN THE ADULTS
