Knitting our Way over the Ocean

Three weeks of joy and adventure with four flights and countless hours in the car.

And I don’t know about your kids, but mine get bored when travelling from point a to point b and farther to c, d, and e.

So what can they do on long journeys beyond the playing or zoning in front of electronics (iAnything) or even in conjunction with them?  My little people get fidgety just watching movies and playing games.

This is what we do:

Finger knitting.  Just a ball of yarn and some patience are required.  We now have a four metre finger knitted string (a.k.a. bracelet) and no more fidgeting.

Travelling made easy …

Bon Voyage.

Knitting with the fingers, what a great idea! And no worries about bringing knitting needles on the airplane. I think any parent of young children reading this post and looking at this instructive video will surely consider bringing some yarn along for a long trip, whether it’s on a plane, on a train, or in a car. Because when the kids are happy, the parents are happy, too 🙂

    1. True. Kids happy = parents happy.
